Challenge

During the Covid pandemic, the Antipodes team encountered disruptions in hospitality sales and supply chains. These challenges drove the need for innovative growth strategies in both local and international markets. The lockdown served as a catalyst for introspection, prompting a re-definition of their vision and strategy while upholding core values. Their journey highlights the resilience, unity, and adaptability essential in facing unprecedented challenges.

Sensemaking mapping

In response to the post-Covid 2021 landscape, we conducted comprehensive sensemaking research into stakeholder perceptions, assessing emotional impacts and utilizing data from the New Zealand and Australian governments, as well as restaurants and supermarkets.

This analysis uncovered industry blind spots and emerging trends, enabling us to collaborate with Antipodes executives in developing a forward-looking strategic vision that acknowledges current business realities.

By enhancing sensemaking capabilities, Antipodes navigated Covid-related uncertainties, capitalising on global beverage market opportunities, and optimising supply chain impacts. We also crafted effective communication narratives by listening beyond words, highlighting the creativity, agility, and foresight that drive successful outcomes.
